Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about TradeLog
Here are answers to the most frequently asked questions about TradeLog. If your question is not listed here, contact our support team through the Contact page.
What is R-multiple (R)?
R-multiple (or simply R) is a way to measure trade performance relative to your risk. 1R means you made exactly what you risked. 2R means you made twice what you risked. -1R means you lost exactly what you risked. For example, if you risked $100 on a trade and made $250, that is a 2.5R trade. R-multiples let you compare trades across different position sizes and markets on an equal basis.
How does the free trial work?
Every plan includes a 14-day free trial of the plan you pick at checkout -- a Manual trial has Manual limits, a Premium trial has no limits. No credit card is required. Trials are subject to limited availability: if all trial slots are taken, you can pay now or join the waitlist. When the trial ends, access is paused until you subscribe -- your data is preserved and there is never an automatic charge.
Can I import trades from my trading platform?
Yes. TradeLog supports CSV import from most platforms and auto-sync from MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, NinjaTrader, Tradovate, DXtrade, TradeLocker, Binance, Bybit, and OKX. For CSV import, export your trade history from your platform and upload it on the Import page. For auto-sync, connect your platform from the Connections page in the sidebar.
How do referrals work?
Share your unique referral link from the Referrals page. When someone signs up through your link and subscribes to a paid plan, you earn recurring 20% credit on your subscription and your friend gets 20% off their first payment. Your credits are applied automatically through Stripe on each billing cycle.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. Plan changes in both directions apply instantly with automatic proration: upgrades charge the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period, and downgrades credit the unused portion of the higher plan toward your next invoice. Change plans directly in Settings > Subscription using the plan cards -- the Stripe portal ("Manage Billing & Invoices") is for payment methods and invoices.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data is never deleted when you cancel. Your subscription remains active until the end of the billing period, then access is paused until you resubscribe. All your trades, notes, strategies, and settings are preserved. You can resubscribe at any time to regain full access.
Does TradeLog place trades on my behalf?
Broker and exchange sync connections are strictly read-only -- they only read your trade history for record-keeping and analysis, and never place, modify, or close trades. The optional TradeLog EA tools can place trades you initiate yourself (one-click Buy/Sell on the EA panel) and, only if you enable Strict Risk mode, can trim an open position down to your planned risk. TradeLog never trades autonomously and never withdraws or transfers funds from your trading accounts.
Which trading platforms are supported?
TradeLog supports MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader (cBot or direct API), NinjaTrader, Tradovate, DXtrade, TradeLocker, and the Binance, Bybit, and OKX crypto exchanges for auto-sync. Rithmic and Interactive Brokers are coming soon. For manual import, any platform that can export CSV trade history is supported. The system covers Futures, Forex, Stocks, and Crypto markets.
What is Blueprint?
Blueprint is TradeLog's advanced analysis engine that identifies cross-dimensional trading patterns you would not easily spot on your own. Instead of showing individual metrics (best symbol, best timeframe separately), Blueprint combines multiple dimensions to generate graded trading setups with specific recommendations for what to trade, when, how, and how much to risk. It requires at least 10 trades to start generating insights.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is stored on Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS) ensuring each user can only access their own data. All connections are encrypted with SSL/TLS. API keys are stored encrypted. Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI Level 1 certified). Your data is never sold or shared with third parties.
