What is Blueprint?

Understanding TradeLog's 5-engine analysis system

Blueprint is TradeLog's advanced analytics engine that goes beyond standard trading statistics. While the Dashboard and Analytics pages show you individual metrics like win rate per symbol or best timeframe, Blueprint analyzes the intersections between multiple dimensions of your trading to generate actionable, cross-dimensional setups.

What Makes Blueprint Different

Standard analytics might tell you that your win rate on ES futures is 65% and that Monday is your best day at 70%. Blueprint takes this further by identifying that ES Long trades on the 15-minute timeframe during the New York session on Mondays produce an 80% win rate -- a combination you would not easily spot on your own.

Blueprint is a strategy creator. It analyzes your closed trades and generates concrete trading setups (recipes) that tell you what to trade, when to trade, how to execute, and what to avoid.

The 5-Tier System

Blueprint uses a progressive tier system that unlocks more advanced analysis as you log more trades. This ensures that recommendations are based on sufficient data. The WHAT / WHEN / HOW recommendations themselves are shown at every tier.

  • Tier 1 (10+ trades) - Foundation: Risk profile (risk percentage, fixed vs. compounding, daily/weekly loss limits)
  • Tier 2 (30+ trades) - Core: Setup cards (the main feature) plus the Edge Stability consistency check
  • Tier 3 (60+ trades) - Advanced: Behavioral diagnostics and secondary insights, shown under Analytics > Smart Analysis
  • Tier 4 (100+ trades) - Expert: Monte Carlo risk simulation and edge evolution tracking
  • Tier 5 (200+ trades) - Master: Psychological pattern detection (revenge trading, tilt, overtrading)

Locked tiers appear grayed out on the tier progress bar, with a counter showing how many more trades you need to unlock them.

Getting Started with Blueprint

  1. 1Navigate to Blueprint from the sidebar menu
  2. 2Select the trading account you want to analyze
  3. 3Click the Generate Blueprint button
  4. 4Review the generated setup cards and risk profile
  5. 5Optionally click Create Risk Profile to save the recommendation as a Risk Profile, then assign it to your account in Risk Management
Blueprint requires at least 10 trades for the most basic analysis (Tier 1). For the most valuable feature -- Setup Cards with cross-dimensional combo analysis -- you need at least 30 trades. The more trades you have, the more reliable the recommendations become.
Blueprint regenerates when you click Regenerate, and also regenerates automatically the first time you unlock a new tier. When your trade count increases by 20% or more since the last generation, a banner will prompt you to regenerate. Your previous blueprint is saved and available until you regenerate.
