Binance Auto-Sync Setup
Connect your Binance account with API keys for crypto trade synchronization
TradeLog supports automatic trade synchronization with Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. By connecting your Binance API keys, your spot and futures trades are automatically imported into your TradeLog journal.
Creating Binance API Keys
- 1Log in to your Binance account at binance.com.
- 2Go to Account > API Management.
- 3Click "Create API" and give it a label (e.g., "TradeLog Sync").
- 4Complete the security verification (2FA, email, etc.).
- 5IMPORTANT: Enable only "Read" permissions. Do NOT enable trading, withdrawal, or transfer permissions.
- 6Optionally restrict the API key to TradeLog's IP address for extra security.
- 7Copy both the API Key and Secret Key.
Connecting to TradeLog
- 1In TradeLog, go to Connections.
- 2Find the Binance section and click "Connect."
- 3Paste your API Key and Secret Key.
- 4Click "Test Connection" to verify the keys work.
- 5Select which account type to sync (Spot, Futures, or both).
- 6Click "Save" to complete the connection.
What Gets Synced
- Spot trades: all buy/sell orders with prices, quantities, and fees.
- Futures trades: long/short positions with entry, exit, PnL, and funding fees.
- Trade history is fetched going back as far as Binance allows (typically 3-6 months).
- Balance information for multi-asset portfolio tracking.
Sync Frequency
After the initial connection, you can trigger a manual sync at any time from the Accounts page by clicking the sync icon on the account card. Trades are deduplicated, so running sync multiple times will not create duplicate entries.
NEVER enable trading or withdrawal permissions on API keys used for TradeLog. Read-only access is all that is needed. This protects your funds in case the API key is ever compromised.
If you trade on both Binance Spot and Binance Futures, create two separate accounts in TradeLog (one for each) and connect them with the same API keys. This keeps your spot and futures analytics separate.
