Display Modes: Detailed vs Simple

Switch between detailed and simple views, and choose grouped or separate trade display

TradeLog offers two display modes and two grouping modes for the journal table, letting you customize how much information is visible at a glance.

Detailed Mode

Detailed mode shows all available columns including entry/exit prices, quantity, fees, stop loss, take profit, strategy, session, timeframe, risk data, and tags. This is the default mode and is best for comprehensive trade analysis.

Simple Mode

Simple mode shows only the essential columns: date, symbol, direction, result, and PnL. This provides a cleaner view when you want to quickly scan your recent trades without visual clutter.

Switching Modes

Toggle between Detailed and Simple modes using the display mode buttons in the journal header bar. Your preference is saved and persists between sessions.

Trade Grouping

In addition to display modes, you can choose how partial closes and related trades are shown:

  • Grouped -- Multiple partial closes of the same position are collapsed into a single parent row with an expandable detail view. The parent shows aggregated PnL, and expanding reveals each individual close.
  • Separate -- Every partial close is shown as its own row in the table. This gives you a complete chronological list of every execution.
Use Simple mode when reviewing your day at a glance, and switch to Detailed mode when you want to analyze specific trades in depth. The column visibility toggle (gear icon) lets you fine-tune which columns appear in Detailed mode.
Trade grouping only affects how partial closes and position scaling are displayed. If all your trades are single-entry, single-exit, you will not notice a difference between Grouped and Separate modes.
