Calendar Notes
Add daily notes to calendar days for journaling and reflection
The Calendar Notes feature lets you attach written notes to any day on the PnL calendar. This is a separate journaling layer on top of your trade data, ideal for recording daily observations, mental state, market conditions, and lessons learned.
Adding a Note
- 1Click on any day in the PnL calendar -- a popover opens with the day's symbol breakdown.
- 2Click "Add Note" at the bottom of the popover.
- 3The Daily Notes panel slides in from the right.
- 4Type your note and click "Add Note" (or "Update Note" when editing an existing one).
What to Write
Calendar notes are most valuable when they capture context that trade data alone cannot:
- Your emotional state before trading (calm, anxious, confident, fatigued).
- Market conditions (trending, ranging, volatile, low liquidity).
- Whether you followed your trading plan.
- Key lessons or mistakes from the day.
Notes Indicator
Days that have a note attached display a small indicator icon on the calendar. By default the Notes filter shows only today's and future notes -- switch the Notes dropdown to "All notes" to see indicators on past days when browsing previous months.
Build a habit of writing a brief calendar note at the end of each trading day. Even a single sentence like "Followed plan, stayed patient" provides valuable context when you review your calendar weeks later.
Calendar notes are separate from trade-level notes. Trade notes are attached to individual trades, while calendar notes are attached to the day as a whole. Use both for maximum insight.
