Performance Metrics
Understanding the three rows of key performance indicators on the dashboard
The top section of the Dashboard features three rows of metric cards that give you a comprehensive snapshot of your trading performance. Each card includes a value, a label, and hover tooltips with additional context.
Row 1: Totals and Dollar Values
The first row shows your headline performance numbers:
- Total P/L -- Your cumulative profit or loss in dollars.
- Total P/L % -- Your cumulative profit or loss as a percentage of starting balance.
- Average Win -- Average dollar amount of your winning trades.
- Average Loss -- Average dollar amount of your losing trades.
- Largest Win -- Your single biggest winning trade.
- Largest Loss -- Your single biggest losing trade.
- Win Rate -- Percentage of trades that ended in profit.
- Profit Factor -- Total gross profit divided by total gross loss. Above 1.0 means profitable overall.
Row 2: Current and R Values
- Current P/L -- Profit or loss including open positions, in dollars.
- Current P/L % -- The same figure expressed as a percentage.
- Average R per Win / Average R per Loss -- Your average reward and risk per trade in R-multiples.
- Best Win (R) / Worst Loss (R) -- Your largest win and loss measured in R.
- Total R -- The sum of all your R-multiples.
- Average Daily Gain -- Your average profit or loss per trading day.
On stock accounts, the R-multiple cards in Row 2 are replaced with percentage-return metrics (average win/loss return, largest win/loss return, and total return).
Row 3: Streaks, Days, and Drawdown
- Consecutive Wins -- Your longest run of winning trades.
- Consecutive Losses -- Your longest run of losing trades.
- Best Day / Worst Day -- Your most and least profitable single day.
- Max Drawdown -- The largest peak-to-trough decline in your equity, shown as a percentage.
- Average Duration -- How long your trades are held on average.
- Avg Trades/Day -- Your average number of trades per active trading day.
- Trading Days -- Days you traded out of total days in the period.
Hover over any metric card to see a tooltip explaining what the metric means and how it is calculated. Some tooltips add extra context, like the win/loss counts behind a figure.
