Symbol and Timeframe Analysis

See which instruments and timeframes perform best in your trading

The Symbol and Timeframe Analysis section on the Analytics page breaks down your performance by the instruments you trade and the chart timeframes you use. This helps you identify your most and least profitable markets.

Symbol Performance Cards

Symbol performance is a grid of clickable cards -- one per symbol you have traded. Each card shows:

  • Total R for that symbol (Total $ on stocks accounts)
  • Trade count
  • A win/loss bar with W/BE/L counts
  • Best / Worst badges on your standout symbols
  • Clicking a card opens a detail view with total PnL, win rate, average PnL, and average R

Timeframe Performance

Similar to symbol analysis, the timeframe breakdown shows how you perform on different chart timeframes (1m, 5m, 15m, 1H, 4H, Daily, etc.). This helps answer questions like: Do you trade better on higher or lower timeframes?

Actionable Insights

Look for symbols or timeframes where your win rate is significantly below your average. These might be markets you should avoid or study more carefully. Conversely, symbols with above-average performance might deserve more of your trading attention.

Combine symbol analysis with session analysis to find your best instrument-session combinations. For example, you might discover that you trade ES profitably during the New York session but lose money trading it during Tokyo.
