Writing Daily Trading Notes
Capture your daily trading thoughts and observations
The Notebook page provides a dedicated space for writing daily trading notes. Journaling your thoughts before, during, and after trading sessions helps you identify patterns in your behavior, document market observations, and build a record of your evolving trading mindset.
Accessing the Notebook
Navigate to the Notebook page from the sidebar menu. The page has two tabs: Notes and Tasks. The Notes tab shows your journal entries organized by date, with a sidebar list on the left and the editor on the right.
Creating a New Note
- 1Click the Write a Note button at the top of the page (or New note at the bottom of the sidebar; on mobile, use the floating + button)
- 2A new draft entry is created with today's date
- 3Enter a title for your note (e.g., "Pre-Market Plan" or "End of Day Review")
- 4Write your content using the rich text editor
- 5Your note is automatically saved as a draft
- 6Click Done to publish it as a permanent entry (or Save as Draft to keep working on it later)
Rich Text Editor
The Notebook uses a Tiptap rich text editor that supports formatting options for writing detailed and structured notes.
- Bold, italic, and underline text formatting
- Headings and subheadings for organized structure
- Bullet and numbered lists
- Code blocks for pasting trade setup details
- Links to external resources or chart screenshots
Organizing Notes
Notes are grouped by day in the sidebar (Today, Yesterday, then dated groups), with drafts collected in a separate Drafts section at the top. Each note displays its color, creation time, and title. You can assign a color to each note for quick visual categorization (blue, green, amber, red, purple, or pink).
