Task Management

Create and manage your trading routine tasks

The Tasks tab in the Notebook page lets you create and manage a structured checklist for your trading routine. Tasks are organized into categories that match the typical trading workflow: pre-market, during market, and post-market.

Task Categories

  • Pre-Market -- Tasks to complete before the market opens: review overnight moves, check news calendar, mark support/resistance levels, set alerts
  • During Market -- Tasks to follow while actively trading: check risk limits, follow your strategy checklist, log trades as they close
  • Post-Market -- Tasks for after the market closes: review the day's trades, update journal, identify mistakes, plan for tomorrow
  • Custom -- Any additional tasks that do not fit the standard categories

Managing Tasks

  1. 1Switch to the Tasks tab in the Notebook page
  2. 2Type your task into the Add a task field within any category
  3. 3Press Enter or click the + button to save it
  4. 4Click the checkbox to mark a task as complete
  5. 5Drag tasks to reorder them within a category (on mobile, use the up/down arrows) -- tasks cannot be moved between categories
  6. 6Click directly on a task's text to edit it inline, or use the X icon to delete it

Clock Bar

The Clock Bar at the top of the Tasks tab shows your local time, New York time, and the NYSE market status with a countdown to the next open or close. Below it, a progress bar tracks your task completion for the day -- as you check off tasks, the bar fills up, giving you a visual sense of accomplishment.

Recurring Tasks

Mark a task as recurring with the circular-arrow toggle next to the add-task field -- recurring tasks show a recurring icon. Recurring tasks reset (uncheck) automatically on your first visit of each new day, and you can also reset them manually with the reset button in the Clock Bar. Only recurring tasks are reset -- one-off tasks keep their completed state.

Start with a simple routine of 3-5 tasks per category. A short, consistent checklist that you actually follow is far more valuable than a long list that you ignore. You can always add more tasks as your routine evolves.
Task completion progress is shown as a fraction (e.g., 5/12) and a visual progress bar. This helps you quickly see how much of your daily routine you have completed.
