Full Screen, Pinning & Personalizing the Panel
Pin or unpin the Mini Dashboard, collapse the sidebar, go full screen, and tailor the panel to how you trade.
The Mini Dashboard is meant to be tuned to your workflow. This article covers pinning, the three view modes, and how the different pieces you've met in this series come together to personalize the panel.
Pin / Unpin
The Pin button on the Dashboard tab controls whether the whole Mini Dashboard rides along at the top of the screen while you scroll through your trades.
- Pinned — the panel stays stuck to the top as you scroll. The button reads "Pinned". This is the default.
- Unpinned — only a slim sticky QUICK SETTINGS strip (plus the bottom metrics bar) stays put, while the rest scrolls away with the page. The button reads "Pin".
The three view modes
The View switcher at the right of the QUICK SETTINGS bar changes the whole page layout between three modes. The active mode is always derived from the live layout state, so it never gets out of sync.
- Normal — the standard layout with the full sidebar and no fullscreen.
- Collapse sidebar — shrinks the left navigation to a narrow icon-only rail (it stays reachable), giving the Journal more horizontal room. Choosing Normal restores the full-width sidebar.
- Fullscreen — puts the browser into real full-screen and hides the sidebar so the Journal fills the screen.
To leave Fullscreen, press Normal or Collapse sidebar on the view switcher, or press the Esc key (pressing Fullscreen again does nothing) — either way the sidebar comes back automatically. Choosing Collapse sidebar while in Fullscreen exits fullscreen first, then collapses the rail.
Tailoring the panel to how you trade
Between density, limit bars, the Show/Hide menu, pin, and the view modes, you can shape the Mini Dashboard around what you actually watch:
- Want just the essentials? Set density to Minimal — you'll see the compact metrics bar, plus any limit bars you have configured.
- Focused on risk discipline? Use Risk density to keep the Next Trade Risk, Recovery, and Limits cards without the full stats grid.
- Reviewing performance? Use Stats density for the metrics grid and prop-firm progress, or Full for everything.
- Trading around news? Keep the "News in mini Dashboard" toggle on and use the NYSE Opening Bell alert for the New York open.
- Enforcing limits? Turn on the Limit Bars (Daily, Weekly, or Both) and set your caps in Risk Management.
- Need more room? Collapse the sidebar or go Fullscreen; unpin the dashboard if you'd rather scroll it away.
