Quick Settings: Every Control
A complete reference to the Journal-tab and Dashboard-tab controls in the Mini Dashboard's Quick Settings bar.
The QUICK SETTINGS bar is the always-visible control strip under the Mini Dashboard title. It has a two-button tab pair — Journal and Dashboard — plus a View switcher pinned to the right. Clicking a tab only swaps which controls are shown; it never changes your data. The Dashboard tab is active by default (this resets on reload). This article documents every control on both tabs.
Journal tab — table appearance
The Journal tab controls how your trades table looks and what it shows.
- Size: — table row density. Opens a dropdown of four heights: Small, Normal, Big, and Accessible (largest, most readable).
- Preset — saves and switches full column configurations (which columns show, order, and more). The button shows the active preset's name, or "Preset" when none is active; an amber dot means "Unsaved changes".
- Style: — the table typography. Opens a dropdown of four looks: Default (sans-serif text with monospaced numbers), Aligned (numbers and dates aligned in monospace), Monospace (monospaced everywhere), and With Icons (monospaced with trend icons instead of text labels).
- Show/Hide — opens a dropdown of on/off switches (listed below) that add or remove elements from the table.
- Sort: Newest / Sort: Oldest — flips the table between newest-first and oldest-first; the label shows the current order.
- Header Color — each click cycles the sticky column-header row through color themes; a small dot shows the current color.
The Show/Hide menu — every switch
- Trade tooltips — the hover info bubbles that appear on each trade.
- Transactions — shows deposits, withdrawals, and payouts as rows inside the trades table.
- Show Canceled Orders — shows canceled / unfilled orders as rows. This is the same setting as Settings → Journal Display, so changing it here changes it there too. Default ON.
- Row colors — tints each trade row green or red by win/loss.
- Group partial closes — combines a trade closed in several partials into a single row.
- Hide auto risk-trims — collapses the EA's automatic risk-trim fills out of the table so they don't clutter it; their profit/loss still counts toward the parent trade and all statistics. Default OFF.
- Futures unit — switches how futures price moves show in the Pips column: OFF = Ticks (default), ON = Points. Affects futures rows only.
- News in mini Dashboard — shows or hides the TODAY / TOMORROW high-impact news clusters in the dashboard. Default ON. (It does not hide the "News in" countdown chip.)
- Prop Firm bar — shows or hides the evaluation/funded progress bar. This row ONLY appears when a single account linked to a prop-firm profile is selected, and it's the same setting as Prop-Firms → Settings → "Show in Journal".
Dashboard tab — the summary panel
The Dashboard tab controls the Mini Dashboard's summary panel itself.
- Density tabs — Minimal, Risk, Stats, Full (and Stocks for stock accounts) — set how much of the panel is shown. Minimal = bar only; Risk = bar + risk cards; Stats = bar + metrics grid; Full = everything.
- Limit Bars: — cycles which loss-limit progress bars appear under the dashboard. Each click advances Daily → Weekly → Both → None → Daily. None hides the bars and their caption.
- Pin / Pinned — keeps the Mini Dashboard visible (sticky) while you scroll through trades. The label reads "Pin" when off and "Pinned" when on. Default ON.
- NYSE Opening Bell — turns on an alert that plays the opening-bell sound and shows a countdown banner before the New York session opens.
View switcher — always visible
At the far right of the QUICK SETTINGS bar, a three-icon View switcher is shown under either tab. The buttons are icon-only; hover for the label. The active mode is derived from the live layout, so the highlight always matches reality.
- Normal — standard layout with the full sidebar.
- Collapse sidebar — shrinks the left menu to a narrow icon rail for more width.
- Fullscreen — enters whole-page fullscreen and hides the sidebar/chrome.
