Bybit Auto-Sync Setup

Connect your Bybit account with API keys for crypto trade synchronization

TradeLog supports automatic trade synchronization with Bybit, a popular cryptocurrency derivatives exchange. Connect your Bybit API keys to automatically import your futures and spot trades into TradeLog.

Creating Bybit API Keys

  1. 1Log in to your Bybit account at bybit.com.
  2. 2Go to Account & Security > API Management.
  3. 3Click "Create New Key" and select "System-generated API Keys."
  4. 4Give it a name (e.g., "TradeLog Sync").
  5. 5Under permissions, select ONLY "Read" for Account and Trade. Do NOT enable any write permissions.
  6. 6Do NOT set an IP restriction -- TradeLog syncs from cloud servers whose addresses change, so an IP-restricted key breaks sync.
  7. 7Complete 2FA verification and save your API Key and Secret.

Connecting to TradeLog

  1. 1In TradeLog, open Connections from the sidebar.
  2. 2Click the Bybit card, then "Add Connection."
  3. 3Paste your API Key and Secret Key.
  4. 4Click "Test Connection" to verify.
  5. 5Select the TradeLog account to link -- its crypto market type (Spot, Futures, or Both) controls what is synced.
  6. 6Save the connection.

What Gets Synced

  • USDT (linear) Perpetual positions -- inverse (coin-margined) contracts are not imported.
  • Spot trading orders and fills.
  • PnL calculations including funding fees.
  • Position entry and exit prices, quantities, and timestamps.

Sync Process

TradeLog auto-syncs the connection once a day (around midnight UTC), and you can also click the sync icon on the Bybit account card in the Accounts page at any time. The system pulls closed positions and converts them into TradeLog trade entries. Duplicate detection prevents the same trade from being imported twice.

Only grant read-only permissions to the API key. TradeLog does not need and should not have the ability to place trades or make withdrawals on your behalf.
Bybit's Unified Trading Account (UTA) combines spot, derivatives, and options. With UTA, TradeLog syncs your USDT (linear) perpetual and spot activity through a single API connection -- inverse contracts and options are not imported.
